On this trip you will be able to get to know the very friendly people of Lake Titicaca personally. Visiting the islands as well as the not very busy peninsula of Llachon and the local families living there will give you an authentic experience. The visit to the grave towers of Sillustani nearby is a cultural highlight.
Day 1: Boat ride across Lake Titicaca past Uros to the island of Amantani. Homestay with a local family
Day 2: Boat ride to the peninsula of Llachon where you can enjoy lunch with a local family. Afterwards visit the ancient grave site of Sillustani.
We will pick you up in the morning and with your private guide and private boat you will head out on Lake Titicaca. Past the swimming islands of Uros you will head to Amantani, one of the larger islands in the middle of the lake. From here you can enjoy the spectacular view of the lake with the snow-capped mountains of the Bolivian mountains in the distance. You can go on a short hike across the island before you head back to your local family for the night (Homestay on Amantani)
Boat ride to the peninsula of Llachon. You will meet a local family where you can enjoy a home cooked lunch. Afterwards you will drive to the Chullpas of Sillustani and visit these impressive ancient grave sites. In the evening you will be in your hotel in Puno. (Hotel in Puno)
